True Fresh HPP, which provides a range of services to help retailers provide all-natural, clean, fresh food to customers, recently announced that the latest installation of a fourth High Pressure Processing (HPP) machine has enabled the company to increase production capacity to meet growing customer demand.

The machine, a Hyperbaric 525 HPP machine, uses extreme water pressure to safely kill pathogens and extend food’s shelf life by up to ten times while preserving nutrients and minerals to meet shoppers’ desires for fresh, refrigerated offerings. True Fresh HPP acquired the new machine in June to expand capacity of its HPP tolling services and, with the additional equipment, the company now has an annual capacity of 100,000,000 pounds, the largest under one roof in the country.

“Shoppers increasingly want clean label food products for enhanced safety and quality, and our cold pasteurization techniques allow retailers to meet this demand,” said Alan True, Founder and CEO of True Fresh HPP. “And now with the additional HPP machine, we can expand our reach and better service large volume customers to help them gain an edge in the market.”

To manage the company’s growth, True Fresh HPP and it sister company, True Food Innovations, also recently named two seasoned executives to key senior-level positions in the company: Robert Jones as President of True Food Innovations and Grant Lorsung as Vice President of Operations for True Fresh HPP. Jones is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience who is responsible for all aspects of True Food Innovations, including product development, strategy, and corporate finance. Lorsung has more than 35 years of food manufacturing operations and development experience, and is responsible for overseeing production, operational improvement initiatives, and achievement of strategic plans

“The addition of Robert and Grant provide proven leadership, knowledge and experience that will enhance True Fresh HPP’s ability to serve our customers better as we deliver on the company’s growth plan to reach our goals,” said True.
